Teacher of Technology

MPS

Required for April or September 2012

NOR: 1070 - 11-16 DfE Designated Humanities College

Alec Hunter Humanities College is a mixed, 11-16 Specialist College and one of the most rapidly improving secondary schools in Essex. In addition, we are full partners in the Braintree Sixth Form, which provides opportunities for some of our staff to teach at Key Stage 5.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teacher of Technology to join a well led, friendly and supportive team. The department offers Resistant Materials, Catering, Textiles, Graphics and Engineering at GCSE.

Applications are welcome from experienced and newly qualified teachers able to teach throughout the age and ability range. The College offers an excellent induction for NQT’s and would be able to support you through your first year.

It is possible that more than one appointment will be made, hence teachers specialising in all areas of Technology will be considered. But the ability to teach GCSE Engineering would be advantageous for one of the posts available.

Our College is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. A Criminal Records Disclosure at enhanced level will be required for this post.
