Ski Trip to WILDSCHÖNAU 2009
15th June 2009
On the 3 April we all set off for the twenty two hour coach trip to Austria on our ski trip. The journey wasn’t too bad because we stopped at stations in France and Germany,so we could stretch our legs. When we finally got to our destination we all went out for dinner in this really nice restaurant, but luckily the waitress spoke English so we could order our food.
The next day was our first day of skiing which showed us whether we could ski or not, so it was good to find that nearly all of us could ski really well. On the second night we went to an old fashioned bowling alley which was really good fun to play, because it was so different to normal bowling.
I think that the best night was the pizza night, because Mr Trussler and Carl had a pizza eating contest and, unfortunately, Carl lost. But we all had to thank Mr Edwards for paying for all of our food and not only paying but for organising the trip too.
On Tuesday night we had the sleigh ride and that was brilliant, because half way through we had a lovely hot chocolate, so it was nice to warm up a bit.
On our last night we had the disco and the presentation. In
the presentation the skiing instructors handed out the medals for the groups, but the medals were for the three people who got the fastest time in the race that took place earlier that day. Later on was the disco and that was fantastic.
For the brilliant trip we can only thank the adults. If it was not for Mr Edwards then we would not of had the trip. I would like to say thank you to all the staff who went, because they all helped us when we needed them and they
were there for us to laugh at when they fell over at skiing.
I would definitely go again and I cannot wait to see if I go next year.
