Aims

To provide students with opportunities to work individually and as part of a group and to develop independent learning skills.

To use a variety of teaching methods to address the range of learning styles including experimental work, discussions, research and presentations, role play and written work reading.

To introduce students to the many different aspects of Science study and encourage them to explore these further at College, University and in the work place.

 

Qualifications

KS3 SAT Science

GCSE Additional Science - designed for students who want to study the A level Sciences and are considering a career in science e.g. Doctor, Architect, Research chemist

GCSE Applied Science - designed for students who wish to study the science of the workplace, whether it is forensic science or the telecommunications industry. A lot of emphasis is placed on internally assessed units so this course would suit well-organised, conscientious students.
