Aims
To provide students with an understanding of today's world and the physical, environmental and economic issues involved and encourage students to be aware of their surroundings and the importance of them.
To enable students to study key aspects of the Medieval Period in Britain and the wider world. Questions include: What was life like in Medieval Britain? What challenges did Medieval monarchs face? What were the achievements of the Islamic Civilisations?
To develop students understanding of the many different Belief Systems and to develop the skills needed to respond to moral and ethical questions posed in today's changing world.
To teach all students learning skills which they can use across all subjects such as mind mapping, investigation and debating skills.
To provide students with a broad preparation for the world of work in leisure and tourism industries.
