TEACHER OF DRAMA

REQUIRED SEPTEMBER 2010

NOR 1000 – 11-16 Specialist Humanities College

Would you like to be part of a Humanities College which is “rapidly improving” (OfSTED 2008) at an exciting time in its development?

Alec Hunter Humanities College is an overwhelmingly friendly and welcoming community, with a rising intake, which is committed to ensuring every student reaches their full potential. We are looking to recruit a teacher who is passionate about drama and excited by the prospect of encouraging students of all abilities to develop their dramatic skills. This post would provide an excellent opportunity for a newly-qualified teacher beginning their career, or for a more experienced colleague wishing to develop their practice. Ideally, we are seeking to appoint someone who can also teach Music at KS3, although this is not essential and applications are welcome from drama specialists.

Braintree is a thriving market town within easy reach of Stansted, Chelmsford, Colchester and Cambridge.

This post would provide an excellent opportunity for a newly-qualified teacher beginning their career, or for a more experienced colleague, since the successful candidate may be offered the chance to take some lessons at the recently-opened Braintree Sixth Form Centre.

PART-TIME LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

FIXED TERM  – INITIALLY FOR ONE YEAR –

REQUIRED: APRIL 2010

Band 2 - Pt 14-16

22 hours 30 minutes per week x 39 weeks per year - £8,125.00- £8,494.00 p.a.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to work as a Laboratory Technician with a strong team of Science Teachers and Technicians. Duties will include preparation and maintenance of resources and equipment for Science teaching in this 11-16 College. Experience is not essential, but a willingness to learn is required. Ideally you will have practical skills, be able to use your initiative, be IT literate and a team player.

The College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. This post will require an enhanced disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau.
