Aims

•    Alec Hunter Humanities College aims to provide a high quality education which helps students grow and develop as self-confident individuals, able to take a full and active part in society and in the life of the communities to which they belong.

•    We aim to treat individuals as of equal worth and to provide a positive learning environment in which students are helped to achieve the highest standards of which they are capable in their learning and personal growth. In a caring, ordered society each student is entitled to respect, safety and well-being and has a responsibility to give others respect and treat them with consideration.

•    Alec Hunter is an outward-looking College which seeks a positive partnership with parents and works collaboratively with others in the community to enhance learning opportunities for students and the local community. This partnership is supported by our Code of Conduct and our Home College Agreement which underpins the aims of the college and which all students and parents are asked to sign.
